100 Python Coding Challenges — Downloads

Choose your printed challenge number to view a hint, download an optional starter, or reveal a worked Python solution. The companion pack is exactly the one supplied with the book's publishing resources.

Work through the book first. All downloads are optional, and there may be other correct solutions.

Complete, book-matched code pack: 100 Python solution scripts, 42 starter programs, and nine fictional sample datasets. The original complete ZIP and the ten supplied chapter ZIPs are included unchanged. Some starter files intentionally contain faults or endless loops; stop them with Ctrl+C or your editor's Stop button.

Download by chapter

Each chapter guide follows the printed book's numbering and provides collapsible hints and worked examples.

Looking for further independent challenges? Explore W001–W100 additional website coding exercises. These are separate from the book.

How to use the downloads

  1. Attempt the book's challenge and test your own answer.
  2. Download an optional starter file where one is provided. Not every challenge has a starter.
  3. Open a hint only if you're stuck, then compare your answer against the worked solution.
  4. For file tasks, copy the relevant sample data into a safe working folder. Some tasks modify local files.

All sample data are fictional; do not enter real passwords or personal information. The programs run offline with Python 3.10+ and the standard library.
